As a Clinical Veterinarian with Disney’s Animal Health Team, you will join a dedicated group of professionals working to provide excellent health care for the Animals, Science, and Environment (ASE) populations at Walt Disney World. You will be part of a team of Veterinarians as well as Animal Care, Veterinary Technician, Medical Records, and Administrative Staff. For more than 25 years, the Disney Animal Health Team has constantly strived to be a leader in medical care for zoo and aquarium animals. Our veterinary practice continues to evolve and grow with four important principles at its core purpose:

In this role, you will report to the Clinical Veterinarian Operations Manager.
Responsibilities/You Will:
-Work as part of a multi-doctor practice and as a collaborative partner with other teams including Nutritionists and Animal Nutrition Center Managers, Animal Husbandry Keepers and Managers, Water Sciences, Guest Animal Experience, and Science Teams
-Possess a commitment to excellence in both aquatic and terrestrial health care and a passion for communicating The Walt Disney Company’s conservation message to Guests and Cast Members
-Have opportunities for interdepartmental project work, clinical and program management-based research, and teaching/training
-Perform veterinary procedures in a public viewing environment
-Demonstrate strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Basic Qualifications:
-ACZM board certification or currently board eligible
-Five years of zoological and aquatic medicine experience minimum
-Florida licensure or be qualified to take the Florida State Board examination
-USDA-accreditation in the state of Florida, or eligibility to become USDA-accredited in the state of Florida
-Demonstrated computer skills with mainstream compatible programs including ZIMS medical and proficiency in in a Windows environment with other technologies or programs
-Schedule availability to include weekends, variable shifts, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
-3 years’ experience minimum at an AZA-accredited facility
-Breadth of veterinary experience with different animal taxa, emphasis on strong balance of aquatic and terrestrial expertise
Required Education:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree
